Shaping the Future: Join Our Associate Network and Board

Co‑operative Alternatives is expanding its network of Associate Members, co‑op practitioners and sector specialists as we strengthen our services in Northern Ireland and extend our work across the island. We are building a diverse bank of general and specialist advisors, people with experience in democratic co‑operatives, community-led initiatives or similar organisations, who can contribute skills, insight and peer support to help grow the movement. Becoming an Associate Member is simply a way to stay connected, share your expertise and be part of a supportive professional community. Associates members gain access to training, mentoring, joint marketing, peer learning and first notice of potential contract work, without any obligation to take on projects.

At the same time, we are seeking to appoint new Co‑op Directors to Co-op Alternatives Board for this important transitional period. This is an opportunity for someone rooted in co‑operative values to help guide our strategic direction as we scale our impact and deepen our island‑wide role. Whether as an Associate or a Board Director, we are inviting people who believe in democratic enterprise to help shape the next chapter of co‑operative development in Northern Ireland.
