Co-operative Alternatives 9th AGM

Co-operative Alternatives held its 9th AGM on Friday 11 November 2022. Another very successful year was recorded despite the effects of Covid 19.

During the financial year Co-op Alternatives registered  new co-ops - Northern Construction Co-op, Belfast Student Housing Co-op, Carrickfergus Community Greengrocer, Sonas Co-operative and Forest Connections Co-op, delivered over 200 hours of mentoring/coaching to emerging co-ops, held 10 webinars, facilitated a community share offer, started working with 10 community farming projects - all while working within the community energy sector and preparing funding bids!

Congratulations also to Gill McNeill who has joined the Board at the AGM! Gill has been an associate and responsible for PR and media for Co-operative Alternatives since 2020. By joining the Board, Gill will now work closely with other Board members to set the direction of Co-op Alternatives in the years to come.
